> Help please! Sound problem with Z710i

Hello everyone,
I have been using Z710i since the past 1 year and it a was working well till about a couple of months back when suddenly the problem started. There is just no sound/ringtone to be heard. The rest of the phone is working fine.
Everytime I get a phonecall it's just the vibrator that alerts me of the calls. The radio and mediaplayer show that a song is on but I am unable to hear a thing. However I am able to hear the person at the other end of a call.
This problem is periodic. It happens suddenly and after a few days the problem rectifies itself and then it goes off again.
I have shown several "phone repair consultants" but no one seems to be able to explain to me the problem. They say it can be fixed .....but what will they be fixing... they say they need to take apart the phone and assess
Please can someone explain to me the problem. Is it easily resolvable? I really like my phone and I bought it on 05/06/07 so it also has a bit of a sentimental value for me. Thank you for your help.

most likely it is some connector within the phone having problem.
tht is why it was adviced to be opened.

Yes seems like a hardware problem... You should take the phone to service and let them check it or if you can open it yourself. There might be problem with the connection between the speaker and the motherboard...
