> K800i - Can I turn red-eye camera light off?
Bookmark topic
Hi all, I had a search but had no luck finding the answer to this - on my k800i phone, is there any way to turn off the red light that comes on when you take a pic, with our without the flash on?
Cheers

The light turns on so that the phone can better "see" the object you're trying to take a picture of when there's not sufficient light. Without it you'd get some pretty blurry pics.
To turn it off, just switch to infinite focus but you shouldn't take pics closer than 2 meters from the object in this mode.

I woke up yesterday morning and for some reason the red-eye camera light was on on my phone - even though the camera was not on. Since then the light has just stayed on and I cannot switch it off. Even when the phone is switched off (but the battery is in teh phone) the red-eye light stays on. I have changed the flash settings, focus settings, etc but nothing seems to work. Obviously have tried taking the battery out a number of times and then putting it back in - as soon as the battery is in the light switches back on. Any suggestions?

I think the Red light is used for focus- to calculate the distance between object and camera.
Red eye is the different thing - especially in dark the eye of a human becomes red in picture taken by camera. Correct me if i am wrong.
