> w980 problems

just got my 980 yesterday and as with all SE phones theres a couple of things that i love and a couple of problems...
firstly after installing the software, when i try to transfer using the media transfer mode, my pc finds my phone but won't connect to enable transfer. i ended up using the mass storage option and transfered that way.
now for my main problem, i want to use a transfered mp3 for a ringtone but where the 850 etc. gives the option of using a mp3 as a ringtone, the 980 doesn't seem to... ami missing something here??
oh and while at first i thought it was pretty cool i'm now fed up of the walkman symbol constantly moving on the exterior screen.... how do i stop it??

You browser there Mp3 file is stored and set it as ringtone.
The button under the volume key. press it, then it will change ...
hope this will help..
For me it works great transfer music via media manager

still not clear, down loads go into media file, if you choose a photo it gives the option of "use" but music only gives the options"resume, delete send and queue", no use... pressing the button under the volume toggle doesn't appear to do anything
