> Which fone to by? Sony Ericsson W580i or K770i?

My son (the middle one this time) is interested in buying a sony ericsson handset. He is choosing between W580i & K770i.. When i reviwed them online, there were some issues of concern with both of them . Well, i understand every handset on the market has got issues! But, which one shall i buy?

Well the K770i has a much better camera than the W580i, so if that matters, then get the K770i. The only thing the W580i has over the K770i is the fitness functions (it has a pedometer) and better Walkman music interface, but the K770i's music player would be sufficient for most. Then of course there is the form factors to consider.
I personally would take the K770i any day. The W580i's Walkman music player for me is no draw-card, because the K770i has a music player anyway which does the trick! I also think the K770i looks more classy, and the W580i looks more feminine and cheaper. However, opinions on looks should be your own, and not somebody else's.

I definitely will go for K770.
I love it being an all round handset. Great camera, great loudspeaker, great music player (only the interface less practical compared to Walkman 2.0), very good screen (W580's is better though), has 3G support, compact design, soft keypad (the later release of K770 have very soft keypads), etc.

Go for K770. Definetely has better camera than W580. And for music this phone is fantastic too, despite of the old media player looks, just buy a HPM-70/75/77.
I think the built-in speaker of K770 is better than W580.
Never got any serious problem with K770, but I believe there were many problems of cracking keypads of W580.

K770i all day long.
I know several people who have bought the W580i, and have it either brick, fall to pieces or just keep resetting itself. In these peoples experience, the W580i's problems are not just limited to the infamous cracking keys.

I would strongly suggest you stay away from the W580i!
The keypad issue hasn't properly addressed. It (W580i) has a better screen compared to the K770i but the overall build quality is not that good- too plasticky.
