if a site is selling a genuine s.e battery. would my phone tell me if a battery is genuine or not genuine? reason why i am asking is that i am looking at getting another battery for my k850i. can anyone tell me? also can anyone tell me any places online i can get genuine batteries, since the s.e site seems a bit expensive.

thanks

miyagi

Just plug the charger, whem the pop up showed 'charging alien battery' then it's fake. It should appear 'optimized charging' if you use the original one.

I've bought batteries off Play.com. Was not unreasonable.

Yes, miyagi I bought few months ago a reliable battery from http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=120230
BST-38 Original Sony Ericsson battery. it is a safe, reliable and long-lasting.
You can also try.
