Who knows where i can download map software to my phone for free? and i dont want google maps, because it has to go online and that can become expensive updating all the time.

Then you should find yourself bluetooth gps receiver for your G900 so you can use GPS services . Anyway, TomTom is great app for GPS navigation...

P.S. I think this topic should be moved to the Symbian Phones subforum.

Give Mobile GMaps a try. You can download it from Phoload here: http://www.phoload.com/software/92-mobile-gmaps/view

It does require an internet connection, but it doesn't use Google maps. It is able to connect to a GPS receiver over bluetooth or use the internal GPS features on some phones to automatically display the map for your current position.

Alternatively, check out the Location based section on Phoload for a choice of other mobile map utilities: http://www.phoload.com/category/11-location-based

Tnx for the links mate... Actually Google maps shows your current location too... It can be found as "my location" option. But it missed my building for about 100 meters to north .

has anyone coupled their G900 with a BT gpsr? i've been toying with the idea of doing that but i'm not sure what's the best option.

Hi, Sorry, I hadn't realised this thread is in Symbian. Phoload currently only hosts software from Java.

I have done it with P1i + Bluetooth GPS and TomTom software, works great

Of course I would like to have a larger screen, but TomTom is quite usable anyway
