> Removing short cut background on P990i

Sorry about the title I didnt know how to describe it but thank you for looking if you did.
On the first screen you get on the P990i with the background etc you have the 4 short cut buttons at the bottom (the touch screen ones which take you into the menu etc).
How can I make the background they sit on disappear or go transparent?
I have installed the walkman theme and it just looks out of place.
