Hi,
Can the 'inside' camera also be used to make picture's? it would seem ridiculous to add a whole camera to a phone only for using video calls.

On sony ericsson non-smartphones it's possible to take pictures with the front camera but only during a video call. It should be the same with smartphones (haven't tried myself)... Anyway, without 3g coverage and a video call in background, you cannot take pictures with the front camera. So, sadly, it is only for video calls.
