Anyone else wishing they could reprogram the G900 note and message hardware buttons for to do what YOU want them to do?

I use HandyDay quite heavily and would like to be able to make the new note button to open/switch to HandyDay instead. I've had a play with the notes app but have no real use for it - prefer to store stuff in plain text or MS Word format for compatibility with my desktop.

I've seen Longcuts, but that only appears to work with the qwerty keys on P990/P1 so doesn't address my need.

P.S. For anyone wondering whether to upgrade to a G900 from older UIQ phones, I'd say go for it. The G900 is far smaller than my old P990, runs quicker, has loads more RAM and a brighter, more vibrant screen. Apart from the hardware buttons I'm very happy!

It should be possible. As it is possible to reprogram the shortcut buttin (on the P1 for e.g.) to use many more applications than default. It may be the same with the G900's hardware keys.

Linkboy may help for adding shortcuts, but I don't know about that button... I think it's root needs to be changed.

I'd like to link the Note and Text Message buttons to the left and right soft buttons, so the G900 would be completely operable without using the screen. Very handy with dirty hands...

Anyone know if this is possible?
