No room in the market for all the eight-megapixel camera phones
Vodafone is expected to stock three eight-megapixel handsets
Vodafone is expected to stock three eight-megapixel handsets as the operator carve up of the similarly high-spec camera phones begins.
Vodafone will have the Sony Ericsson C905 and the Samsung i8510 by mid October and will also stock the LG KC910 (believed to be branded as ‘Viewty2’), Mobile understands.
3 is expected to take on the Samsung i8510 as it continues to start including Samsung handsets in its portfolio. Orange customers can already buy the Samsung i8510, but only through Carphone Warehouse.
The manufacturers will compete for the top position in the market, but with so many competitors, winners and losers are expected.
continues...

every one knows:
1. O2 are the only network that cost allot for texts and calls because all they want is money and most of there phones are the rubbish ones and then they sell then for like a million pounds when there only worth like ten pounds example: W350I O2: £100.00 W350I T-Mobile: £49.99 what a rip off.
2. All they care about is iPhone, iphone iphone iphone! Guess what there's a new iphone 3g! it's exactly the same as the piece of shit called iphone but with 3g! "If its 3g wheres the video call, and mobile tv, and wheres the £400 worth 5mpix camera huh?" It's now cheaper, yeah £25/m pay monthly and £400 payg wow! what a rip off! Samsung tocco: much better then a iphone and o2 don't sell 'em FREE/m or £10/m pay monthly and £239.99 payg. big difference from the iphone. much much better, so why do o2 sell it for lots, well its obvious all they care about is money they don't care about the benefit of the customer.
Thats why i stick with good old t-mobile they care about the customer and still get a prophet.
3. REAL Example of why there money grabbers:
this is what really did happen when i wanted a k750i at o2
O2 Guy: hey what phone do u want
Me: A nice low end phone for cheap
O2 Guy: Contract or not
Me: pay as you go please
O2 Guy: We have the K800I for only £200
Me: What do you mean that aint low end
O2 Guy: Yes it is
Me: Can i get a k750i
O2 Guy: Ok that will be £179.99
Me: Sorry too expensive, bye
O2 Guy: Wait!, Why dont you buy a W800i then, there half price at only £169.99
Me: Sorry, no thx bye
T-Mobile shop said this:
TM Guy: Hello, how can we help u to buy a phone today
Me: Hey ya i was wondoring if you have a low-end phone that i could by
TM Guy: Oh, yes we have the W800i, since the K800i and W880i came out there only 50 quid
Me: wow! thanks but i would like on thats about 30 pound's
TM Guy: for £19.99 you can get a K700i only 1 stock left since its a refurb or you could buy a D750i for £29.99 now extreamley cheap because of k800i has budged in the market
Me: Thanks mate ill take 1.
TM Guy: Hope you enjoy it!
see the big diffrents from the money grabbing and the nice guys down at tm only reccomending me stuff thats 30 pounds not £200.
please correct me if you think i'm wrong.

Its like Orange. I know things were not what they used to be but they only recently made a profit cos they looked after the customer. If O2 become obsessed with iphone it could damage them in the long term. I know people buy it for what it is but people will also want 8 mega pixel camera phones with amazing features. When they start buying these phones they will be saying APPLE WHO? They need to listen to what customers want not just shoving the iphone in everyones faces. Despite what they might think with good sales not everyone wants an iphone. Perhaps thats going to be other networks where they can compete with the iphone with high class high featured 8 mega pixel camera phones.
