Hi
As for now there have been a lot of mods for uiq phones i thought that if it'd be possible to increase the max resolution for setting a wallpaper. I have a p990 and i dont know if this happens with other recent uiq phones.
Cheers

i am not able to set a 1632x1224 picture as wallpaper. a w810 can handle that resolution. why not the p990 or any other uiq.
can the p1 do this?

couldn't you just make the picture smaller using a program like photoshop and then installing it?
At that res i cant see what good it will do, surely reducing the size of the pic by even a 1/4 will still give an excellent pic on the phone.

With the p990's cam i take pics at full res. Sometimes i happen to put them as wallpaper but i have to resize them. So i thought that this could be skipped with a mod. As i dont have more choice, i resize them.

I'd always resize it properly anyway, the resampling in something like Photoshop is likely to produce a much better image than the one built in to the phone, plus you can adjust the contrast / brightness and so on to improve it too!

I agree. Using photoshop to edit the contrast and brightness can improve the picture quality a bit. Or at least it can give it better showing on the screen. It can also enhance the colors of the picture and etc...

The features and options of photoshop are practically unlimited imo.
