Hi all, new to this forum i've been trying to find out if my w580i can be unlocked to any network? i tried an online site called unlock telecom which took payment for telling me it cant be unlocked except by my network provider. Is this true? If not what do i need to unlock it myself?

Find a patch for your current firmware or generate one using the SIMlock patch generator (found on
www.4shared.com) and a copy of your MAIN firmware...
Then folow the tutorial to apply the patch and unlock your phone...
Anyway if your phone is CID53 this method wouldn't work as CID53 patching is not supported for free yet... Besides you can unlock the phone with totalgsm client if you are willing to spend some euros for unlocking... totalgsm is not free...
