Hello all. Needing help. Just debranded my SE w850i which was branded to orange. I used WontanClient to debrand it. Wontan picked up my phone ok i picked the approiate firmware - R1KG001 CID53 with Generic UK trade CDA. Everything went well, done it all in under 10 mins.

But when i unplugged the phone put my T-Mobile sim in and started it up it asked for the correct simcard??? Tryed my o2 sim card said the same.

I flashed the phone again with wontan using a different CDA this time Europe_2 but still comes up with the same message. Whats happened?

Hope someone can help asap dont have a spare phone.

Seems that your phone got locked. It was probably previously unlocked by patch and now when you changed the MAIN and FS firmware the patch is gone and the phone is locked again. So the only way of unlocking CID53 phone is using some of the clients which offer DB2020 CID53 unlocking (total gsm for e.g.).

I agree with Strizlow. Go on the Davinciteam website and they can do unlocking for CID52 and CID53 phones

Totalgsm is also available as an option for CID53 unlock.

Thanks strizlow800 it did lock up again and after using totalgsm im back up and running. Highly recommend anyone to use totalgsm if you need your phone unlocked, done in under 10 mins.

Hehe another more happy user of totalgsm. I would reccomend that too for DB3150 and DB2020 CID53 users atm as there is no other free solution, totalgsm seems to be the cheapest and the best one.
