I think there's no big differences between cid 53 and cid 52, they're just the same except cid 52 we can apply patching for free and cid 53 we must pay. About the system just the same,because i use W660 cid 53 and K800 cid 52.

AFAIK the CID code is basically how the firmware has been signed (encrypted) and doesn't affect the "goodness" of the firmware. If one particular version of firmware is available for both CID 52 and 53 then there is no difference in the phone's functions. Newer firmware will probably only be available for CID 53.

Note that the phone hackers have not yet figured out how to patch a phone with CID 53. If your phone has CID 52 and you want to still be able to apply patches then don't use SEUS for firmware updates as this will upgrade the CID to 53. Better use FAR+jdflasher and download the CID 52 firmwares from topsony.com.

What makes a difference is the CDA which specifies what languages and operators the firmware is for.
