I tend to end the WAP session each time I'm finished browsing, but I suppose I don't have to because I'm charged by the Kb and not the duration.

Is there any advantage or disadvantage for leaving it connected?

What do you do?

You probably have different profiles for wap, MMS, internet access etc.
If you stay connected after a wap-session the phone cannot switch profile to receive MMS, be used as a modem, fetch email and so on.
