> Sony Ericsson pressures its suppliers
Bookmark topic
Sony Ericsson demanded lower prices from its suppliers. However, nobody wants to put their names to the rumours due to the fear of coming into disfavour with mobile manufacturers.
Subcontractors are especially upset about the intransigent tone deployed by Sony Ericsson. A requirement seems to be that - not negotiable - all prices have to go down by 10%. All subcontractors are invited to come back with an answer if they want to continue to work with Sony Ericsson past Oct. 6.

xperia will be out to late.
C905 will much less then they expect, why, because the phone doens't leave up to its expectations.
SE is blaiming everything on someone else.
I hope the contracters decided to drop SE.

And how do you know that?
Personally, the C905 does live up to my expectations quite well.

Officially XPERIA is out and not "will be out" and will soon be available in all markets in a month or two.
C905 is great none the less even though it's not what K750 was at it's time.
SE did blame other sometime back but now it seems they have realised where they are going wrong.
And IMO, SE is asking their contractors to reduce prices so that they can reduce Selling Cost and price their phones competitively... You know, at present other manufacturers phone with more features are priced on par SE's offering which have less features... One Huge reason IMO that SE is loosing sales. So this step seems to tackle this situation...
