ok, hope you can help, I have disc to phone to transfer music from PC to phone, which works and I can do it, my problem is that when i get them on phone they dont come through as individual tracks they come over as single tracks inside their own folder! Is there a way I can not have the folders and just have them in the music player as individual tracks? my phone is the w850i.

hi
you can drag and drop them without the use of any software. just connect your phone via usb(or BT) and go to the memory stick, then in the mp3 folder create a folder with the artist name and put the music there. the walkman player will do what you're looking for

Thanks for your reply!
I dont mind using the disc to phone .. I just want the tracks to be individual tracks like all my other songs on my phone.. not in a folder of their own! was just thinking there must be a way of getting tracks on their own not in a folder! so i now have the 18 songs i put on, in 18 seperate folders.

The way tranced explained might suit your needs, you cannot do it via disc to phone, because the software reads the ID3 tags, and create folders based on the artist and then the album, so, even the same artist will have different subfolders if you copy songs from different albums.
I hope it helped clear things up...

What's the big deal, anyway? It's not like you listen to music from the file manager.

no, you dont need to put the 18 songs in individual folders. just create a folder for a specific artist and then put the song(s) of that artist in its folder. that'd be more orginized. the walkman player will bring together the artist's songs.
