Hey meoz,
well, it personally depends on what you need,
If your planning on getting ds220, then you should get a seperate headphone(like sony ex or bose IE3) for a great sound quality.
But if you want an out of the box experience, plus a screen which would be displaying song names and stuff, then you should get ds970 or 980.
I have used ds970, and i just got ds220 with w980i. Its charging right now, so i will let you know which one i personally think is better.

Meoz, i think you should get ds970 or ds980. ds220, the clipping part, did not feel good to me , and if you wear t-shirts most of the time then you would need to clip it to your neck part.

I use a DS220 with HPM-83's and i'm very happy with them. Track name and some flashy screen on the reciever isn't important to me as i can tell what track i'm listening to when it plays.Plus an additional screen is even more of a drain on battery as well imo.

I have a DS970 and the braiding has frayed badly I have taped this up for the minute. Has anyone else had this problem? anyone recommend a fix
can you have repairs done to DS970? fixed earphones area dissadvantage IMO
I also have a DS220 I like the idea of being able to change phones. I have EZ noise cancellers which are really good. Not much display and have to operate most functions via mobile

I think that the best solution is HBH-DS205 (that hasn't been mentioned by nobody) and some good earphones, for example the new short-cable sennheiser... I don't remember the model name...

Personally, I would stay away from the DS970. I've had two and they were both pretty bad. Very poor range. I have a Nokia HS-12W which is much better in my experience.

I liked DS220 just because of having a 3.5mm jack. I don't know why they didn't implement it DS970/980? Which are on the expensive side and what if the earphone gets damaged?
BTW how is the sound quality of DS220 compared to DS970/980 and specially the wired HMP77/82? I am thinking of going for one.
Anyone?
