Hey folks. I got a k810
and it got pretty high SAR value.
if u know what it is.
anyway if i turn off 3G my batteries holds like double than it used to with 3g ON.
my question is: Does the SAR decrease if i use GSM instead of 3G. cause only use of 3G i have is internet. i dont do video calls and stuff. and without 3g saves a lot of battery
actually my phone did hold for like 1½ day with 3g and now without its like 3-5 :=)
and btw.. with GSM on.. and my phone is near a speaker it comes signals like krrsss krrsss krs krskrs. not with 3g..

Its only some amplifiers that do that noise with gsm - I can have my phone on top of my S-Master and nothing happens
Anyway - The sar info shouldn't change AFAIK the 3g is the same power as gsm but has a shorter range to accomodate faster transfer speeds

3g uses a higher band of frequency. The higher the frequency, the more the loss in amplitude. Have you ever noticed that the signal strength weak when in 3g mode. It's simply because of that.
So I'm sure that the phone emits more power in order to communicate correctly with the tower.

Yes of course better turn 3g off when you don't use it. In fact you won't hear any noise from speakers when the phone is using 3g, just because the signal is too high for the radio/amplifier to pick it up.

In my experience using 3G in my P1i,it will be more battery-drained if let the 3G active.
For the first time,I think internet browsing using 3G is faster, but finally I found browse with regular GSM/GPRS actually has same speed.
So,I better use GSM only,to prolonged my battery life.

hi guys, hi C
i use HUAWEI modem for 3G, and if the 3g signal weak then my modem got very2 hot n i think because its consume more power to maintain the signal to run, imo
