After just over a year with a Nokia N95, I've returned to the SE fold. I've just gone out and bought a

760i

I had bought an LG KF700, which is an excellent phone but the web browser wasn't what I thought it was, which was an important aspect for me as I do quite a bit of mobile browsing (Might sell the LG on here shortly if anyone's interested!).
Couple of silly questions - there's an 'H' that pops up on the screen next to the signal indicator sometimes - what is this? I'm presuming this is the HSDPA signal indicator. Also, I've set up the O2 Mobileweb settings on the phone, it asked me if it was a 'PS' or 'CS' connection. I chose 'PS', I presume this is the one for 3G/HSDPA access? Can't find any info on either of these in the manual.

Welcome back Sammy.
Yes the H indicates HSDPA.
PS = packet switched which is what it should be on.
CS = circuit switched which is for dial up internet access, i.e. on some tariffs you get charged by the amount of time online or it comes out of your minute allowance. Not so common in the UK. Thats what I understand anyway.

Congratulations on the new phone! You're quite right, H stands for HSDPA but I don't know anything about the O2 settings sorry.
EDIT: Yeah go Goldenface!

Thanks for the replies Muhammad and Goldenface!
Shame about the LG, I do like that phone and it's touchscreen, but it has to go - the browser rebooted the phone when I tried to access Ebay and wouldn't let me sign into Mobile-Review's forums, sometimes didn't connect at all! The W760i does all of this fine though, am very pleased with it so far!

Next silly question - I've downloaded and installed Google Maps (Phone didn't have it installed by default - must be something to do with the O2 branding?) but can't get it to work with the built-in GPS. It will pinpoint my location roughly using cell tower info but doesn't seem to pull in the info from the GPS, even with a signal?
I'm very chuffed with the phone, bought it as a smaller alternative to my N95, think it'll be a permanent replacement to it!

Never thought of trying Opera on the LG until I'd installed it on the W760i! Might try it later and see how it goes with Opera.
