hi! i noticed my phone has a very low illumination (somewhat yellowish on the screen; and not so bright blue on keypads) compared to other t681 phones. I tried adjusting the ff: but to no avail:
1) contrast : my settings is just about 1/3.. if i adjust the settings to
1/2... colors become blurry!
2) themes : my themes is just on a classical
I don't know what else to adjust!!
except for the said illumination problem, all other functions seem to work perfectly!
please help

How old is your phone? Do you keep ot on in the night?
Remember everything wears out when it gets old. Look at a 10 year old computer screen and compare it with a new. I guess you can do that with a new and a 1 year old T68 to.
It's also said to be different build qualities of the screens, so two brand new phones can look very different!

there's nothing you can do about it cause I went to the phoneshop and they told me that it happens that some phones have a stronger lcd than others you can compare it with the nokia 8310 hold two of them together and you will see the difference so you can't do anything about and it doesn't matter how old your phone is cause i got it after a month purchase date tthe only way to change it is to give your phone to sony ericsson and let it repaired

Um, this actually isn't a very good comparison. 10 year old monitors are not as good as todays monitors. Even if it's newly taken out of a box...

it appears yellow because the lcd is worn in that area, there is nothing that can be done about it, and about the illumination, if it isnt majorly bad then it will be the fact that they are all different, some just have brighter backlights than others, you could get two brand new t68is next to each other and it is likely that one will have a more powerful backlight. its the way it is.

Hi all.
The new phones have had back lights inproved by se. it is nothing to do with software and age of phone. se upgraded the light. I found this out from a friend who works in a se repair centre. I asked if he could fix my lights and he said no. the screen would have to be replaced and at the cost of the phone it would be better to buy a new t68i.
Also the joysticks have been upgraded and are better.
Sorry guys to tell you this.
But if you have a small bit on screen which is yellow then the phone as a fault. or you just need to take the cover of and give it a clean.
