> Data on M2 card getting corrupted.

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a G502, just one month old, along with a 2GB Sony M2 card.. Over the past few days, I've been getting problems with the data getting corrupted. Photos which were okay a few days ago, are getting corrupted.
This is what happens to the photos:
Well, not all, but one by one.. I backup the data on to the PC regularly, so I don't lose 'em. But still worried. This happens with MP3s as well. During playback, some of the tracks would fail to even start playing, with a pop up saying "Failed".. This too happens only to one or two tracks and not the entire collection.
A couple of times, the data from the M2 card just disappeared from the phone, it was like the card was not there at all, I had to eject and re-insert the card for it to start "Updating" and all the data was there! Well, it still is there. The only data that get corrupted are images, videos and MP3 files, only to a very small extent (in numbers I mean), well, maybe just as of now..
I wonder, if the data is getting corrupted only when I plug the phone onto my PC? I guess so but not so sure.. I would really appreciate your help and advice on this matter.
I formatted the card through the phone, once. All was ok, I plugged the phone to my PC today, and one of my latest videos got corrupted, with only a blank being displayed in its place, it effectively just disappeared.
Am I having problems with the M2 card or is it because I am not doing this connection thing the right way.. There is of course no way to "safely remove hardware" in the 'phone mode' as you might know already. All I can 'safely remove' is the '1317 USB Ethernet Emulation '.
Won't a card just die if its going bad or is this concept of 'bad sectors' applicable here too?
It is of course a genuine Sony M2 card, but purchased for a very small amount without warranty or packing.. Kind of came in 'bulk' I suppose?
Or is there a problem with the phone? That was purchased with warranty, bill etc..
Got a lot of questions...! As of now, the card is still holding data and accepting transfers from the PC..
Please advise...

Could be a fake M2, or if not update your firmware/cam driver

Happens to me every now and then. I think someone explained this already, but it wasnt clear. But my theory is a virus.
The virus wont affect the phone, just the m2. Try reformatting it.
I dont EVER plug my phone to the pc now. I use bluetooth to transfer, its slow but at least its 'safe'. The pictures dont get distorted anymore.

There's no connection between camdriver and corrupted data. And i haven't heard any viruses are infecting any mp3, jpeg nor 3gp or mp4.
Most of viruses will only affect exe and it only operates while it was running over Windows.
So i guess your problem was the M2, it's likely a fake imo.
Most of the problem i heard from fake ones are lifetime and the symptoms are much the same like yours.
Better take it back to the seller and talk about this so you can get a replacement or a trade for another piece of M2...

THE SAME problem I had with a K800 and 1gb M2 card... The card may be fake. Try formatting it with the phone (or PC card reader). If that doesn't solve the problem, the card might be malfunctioning. Try with another M2 card if you can. Genuine M2 cards shouldn't do that.

There's nothing wrong spending a little more to get a 'good' and reliable one Mate.

He can't ask for warranty i guess so the better chance is went back and talk about his problem to the seller, maybe the seller have some policy about things like this...
