Freeware? I thought everything was free
1.
Mobimate (a MUST HAVE app for consultants and folks who are on the move 24*7 - flight statuses, exchange rates, weather updates and world clocks)
2.
Fring (Skype, ICQ, Google Talk, MSN Messenger, AIM & Yahoo Messenger)
3.
GMaps (a worthy alternative to my nuvi 680, albeit without the speed cam warnings, weather & movie listings of the dedicated gps unit)
4.
Widsets (widgets, RSS feeds, news updates)
5.
GMail (Desktop Gmail interface on your cell phone)

Nice list! Fring doesn't want to install on my phone (M610i proto). I'd love to give that a try because of its skype ability.

@blerk
From what i understand fring doesn't work with voip on UIQ3 so i guess you are not missing much. I tried it but wouldn't connect, would be interested if anyone gets it working.
