> C902 water damage

Hey, guys,
One of my friends has a C902 and last night he accidentally dropepd it in the sink (don't ask why). He said that the phone was submerged halfway in water. He took out the phone immediately and removed the battery.
I told him to keep it without a battery and somewhere warm overnight and it seems that all of the initial problems are gone (keypad not working, camera not starting), except one. The flash blinks randomly and he can't turn it on/off. Is there any way he could fix this besides giving it for repair?

Standard instructions for water damage :-
remove battery cover plus battery
let phone dry
go to service centre for cleaning (distilled water + sonic bath)
Other wise the dissolved impurities in normal water corrode the phones internal components and the phone stops working after a few months

Couple of weeks ago my 4 year old daughter dipped my old but well functioning K750 into a mug of water (half of the top end, i.e.., the screen end was submerged in water for few seconds). I immediately switched off the phone, removed the battery, wiped it and shook it to remove the water, I also kept it over my computer (overnight) which gets warm so as to make the residual water to evaporate.
Next day found that the left side soft key and 1,2,3 buttons don't work/function but every thing else worked. I could make and receive calls (could not ring any number with 1,2 or 3 in it), the camera, media player, etc.., also worked.
Although I have now upgraded to G900 just wondering whether it would be possible to get it working without spending more than £20-30? If anybody knows please advise.

Best solution is open up the phone.
Take some spirit on a tooth brush , clean the PCB and then using a hair drier blow hot air.
