> P1i external speaker died, any fixes?
Bookmark topic
Hey guys
My P1i external speaker finally died. I called tech support and my phone is apparently out of the 1 year warranty period. It costs $180 flat fee to repair, and I don't have that much right now. Does anyone know how to open up the phone and fix the speaker? That seems to be my only choice. I opened up just the back cover once and i know for certain that you can't access the speaker contacts from there. You have to open up the front. BUT, if I open up the front and remove the LCD, is it easy to access the speaker connectors or is there more involved? if anyone has done this, pls post. Thanks

@701, didn't u read my post? I said I couldn't afford the cost of repair.
and @ Mathios,
I too remember reading posts that said the phones have a two year warranty, but when I asked the rep, she said it only had one year. that's just ridiculous, so now which is true? is there any proof that i can show and claim the two year warranty? I am going to check my p1i box/manual and see if it mentions anything.

I just checked the manual, and I only saw a 1 year warranty mentioned. So I don't know how people have been getting their phones fixed under a 2 year warranty.

heartbreaking....
