Just bought a G900, not that impressed compared to my reliable old W810i cos the G900 crashes so often and so slow at anything!

Is there a way to increase the speed of my G900?

Hey welcome

I would suggest you upgrade the software on the handset... using SEUS Update service, which should help...

Hiya, I got mine from Carphone Carehouse over the phone few days ago. The SEUS says its a G900 Customized UK and also says 'The latest software is already installed', so should I continue anyway?

What's the latest firmware for G900 and how can I check what mine is?

Using the dpad...

Under PHONE SOFTWARE VERSION check, mine is R9L004 and mine has no issues and works at a good speed.

Hope this helps

Yes I got R9L004 too. So this really is the fastest and latest firmware? I can't imagine what the older versions were like!

Touch wood mine has not crashed... or restarted...

These will be slower then your say SE K800i, K810i or W890i as those are java handsets and these are SYMBIAN UIQ based, thus meaning they can do a lot more... You can install programs on them... like TOMTOM, you can edit office documents too.

And as your comparing the W810i and the G900, they are very different handsets...

Cheers
