Hi, this is a little idea I got a while back. Basically each year will be listed and for that year a phones specification to what is a good phone. Like where the technology market is. And you can compare your phone to the list of 2008, lets say and if it does not meet the target it is not a phone for 2008...A bit strange, because also the fact that people use different phones for different things etc. but lets see how this goes.

??? = Not sure, can everyone please help out and fill it up! Also think about what other things can be added to the lists, there must be loads! I'll make this all neat with pictures 'n' stuff once it is complete! Hopefully this will be useful for new members etc.

2004 didnt have walkman player 1.0. It was started with w800i in 2005.
Camera in 2009 should be atleast 3.2 mp with auto focus and photo light.
Mid-high(7-8 series) ones should have 5mp camera, and higher ends(9 series) 8mp camera.
But i guess m asking too much. But if SE would deliver this, then i dont think nothing much can stop them from gaining alot of market share.
Because in ME, ppl usually buy phones based on MP, which is also the second (or first) largest market of nokia.

I would say that 2008 would be with at least 3.2 MP without AF for mid-end phones. Many SE phones have 3.2 MP, for instance the W890, w760, w595, T700, and I could go on

Only WM in the first half year. I would rather hope for SF in the second half of 2009

I would also like SE to produce highend phones based on SF. WM is awesome with it's powerful 3rd party apps, system tweakability, and great support from different hardware producers. but i like Symbian for it's lighter yet powerful enough platform. Omap3 is powerful enough to run SF devices extremely fast.
