.....does your phone need a network signal for your computer to detect it? I have installed an irda adapter, and it seems to be installed on the computer ok. When i run float's, the adapter looks like it is searching, but it does not detect my phone (i have enabled infrared on the phone . but my phone does not have a signal at my current location.

I have also had the same problem with a usb data cable, the computer cannot detect my phone.

Any help help would be appreciated.

t68i, ive tried sending a file, but it says connection failed.
I bought a generic type device (bad move i suppose), but the generic drivers in win me dont work too well. I installed ma600 drivers and it seems ok now. When i try sending a file, the light on the irda starts flashing faster, but it still does not connect.

i bought the serial adapter from http://www.pecmobiledata.co.uk/acatalog/Infrared_Bluetooth.html

I have exactly the same kind of problem, except my adaptor is the MA-620. Everything installed ok but my pc cannot detect my phone and when I try to send a file from the phone to the pc it says 'Connection Failed, No device found'. Interestingly the led on the adaptor flashes when I try this which means it must recognise that there is a signal being transmitted but the pc doesn't acknowledge this. My phone is also a T68i but I'm on Win 98.

Has anyone of you tryed lowering the speed of the Infrared port? I have had the same problem with some Dell lapops. Lowering the Infrared transfer speed down to 115.200 kb/sek ?

It usually does the trick for me!

I have very similar problem. I have T300 and Win98 SE. Nothing hapens whe i put phone near irda (both turned on)... when i try to send something from the phone to the pc, it shows me that T300 is conected but after few seconds the conection drops... WHAT TO DO???

If smb knows why it hapens so please mail me at jangod@amm.prv.pl
The first one who solves my problem will get info how to download mophun games without paying for them. (NOT THE IMEI CHEAT)
