pretty simple really. just go to http://wap.yahoo.com and login.

You will be able to send and receive emails, but of course, you won't be able to view any attachments. But it gets the job done...

On the email client, the server addresses need to be the ip addresses. This post was posted from a T65

I dont think u can stil use yahoo on ur email client unless u pay yahoo abt $25 for popmail. Use their wap site instead. This post was posted from a T68i

First of all lets get some things straight... there are two ways to access yahoo mail from your phone... through Yahoo's WAP site and through POP3 using the email client in the phone. Using the WAP site is trivial so I'm not going to elaborate.
Using POP3 you have to do a couple of things. First of all pay Yhaoo 20 something bucks to allow POP3 access to your email. Then you HAVE TO USE AN IP ADDRESS (ie. 111.222.333.444) and not a named address (ie. pop3.mail.yahoo.com ) when setting up your email account in your phone. Easiest way to find out IP address is to ping the named address and see what IP you get response back from.

NOTE: you will NOT be able to send email through Yahoo's SMTP server because for some ungodly reason most of phones other than the P800 do not support SMTP authentication so you will have to use your own dial up ISP or your mobile provider smtp if available.

@Eleventy7

Can you tell exactly what SMTP server you are using?
