Nokia falls from UK number one spot
Samsung’s aggressive pricing in the prepay market is taking sales away from Nokia
Nokia is slipping further back in the UK after losing its position as the manufacturer with the biggest market share.
Senior industry sources claimed that Nokia was a percentage point behind Samsung’s 30% share of the market.
It appears that Samsung’s aggressive pricing in the prepay market is taking sales away from Nokia’s prepay heartland.

I pointed out on two different occasions that Samsung is the only manufacturer at this stage that can take a chunk out Nokia's market share.
I said that Q3 next year Nokia's worldwide market share will be different to what it is now because of mainly Samsung. This is a start of that battle.

Also i have found Samsung phones to be far more reliable and have less software problems unlike Nokia. Your everyday consumer cannot deal with stuff like that all the time. And Samsung have just got better and better.

Kudos to Samsung...
P.S-I Wonder how much longer the 8mp phone from Nokia is going to take, that should stir up some market figures...

Samsung OS sucks so I'll never understand why people buy them. Unless like recent phones they use someone elses OS.

Great stuff SAMSUNG, they must enjoy it while they can, let's see what happens when the 5800xm and Nseries Touch are out.

yes, I must admit the 5800 looks pretty smick, though it's still s60. I always find s60 too disorganised and not as efficient in it's UI as A200 and not as flexible as WM. For smartphones I still prefer WM. I don't expect the touchscreen s60 to really change much other than add a touchscreen to an already bland UI.
But I'm keen to have a look at it though.
