> Orange W595 3G problems
Bookmark topic
I got a W595 from Orange last week, but it won't connect to the 3G network.
I called Orange, and according to them the W595 is NOT a 3G phone! Take a look. No mention of 3G here:
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop[....]sson_w595/features/pay_monthly
Eventually Orange agreed on the phone today that is IS 3G and said that I could get it replaced as it must be faulty. But I don't believe them - I think there is some connection between them not thinking this is a 3G phone, and the phone not connecting. I think it's a network, account, or sim problem, rather than a faulty phone.
Is it possible they sent me a 2G sim? Can I check somehow? Does anybody have any advice? I like the phone and I want to keep it - but I need 3G.

Hi mate... As suspected, because Orange think this phone isn't 3G they aren't supplying 3G sim cards with it.
Duuuurrrrr.
I've just got off the phone to them and they are sending me a replacement sim which should sort it.

sounds about right looks like i need to do the same
one question tho does your current sim still work until you recieve the new one
i assume you will have to call them when you get the new one to activate it with them
let me know when you get yours if it shoes (pmsl typee) shows H instead of 3G in the display as this handset is supposed to support HSDPA
