Sony Ericsson has brought many new functions and features to mobile phones. Many people seem to think it's now coming out with mere gimmicks and nothing practical.
Well here's a challenge- invent a new innovative feature and get

inspired, or just point out an already used function that would bring good to a

phone.(try to get more creative than a 3.5mm jack) No - I won't steal your ideas, but I think all the inteligent critics(in a good sense) on esato could come with something, that would push phones forward.
FEATURES/FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE: hardware, software, formfactor or anything you can think of.
CATEGORIES:
1. STUFF ON THE WAY(please add your own knowledge):
automatic panoramas- the user first picks if he will be taking a 4pic sized or full 360 degree(10 pic) panorama, then just presses the shutter button and turns. The phone will connect the pictures automatically.
(application creator- Scalado, first used in the SO905i)
integrated projector- exactly what it sounds like, a tiny projector built into the phone, still in development.
(developer- texas instruments)
2. STUFF WE WANT(please add your own wishes):
hardware
3.5 mm jack (made you happy- didn't it?)
louder, high definition speaker
VGA @ 30fps video recording
CCD sensor
optics>megapixels
optical zoom on camera
vga or higher screen resolution
software
manual settings on camera(iso,apperature,shutterspeed...)
time lapse video recording(captures at very small fps, but for a long time-great for videos of clouds moving across the sky, sunsets, busy streets etc. Tripod needed)
document reader
popular video format comapatibility(avi, divx...)
recordable radio(I do)
better music dj(with actual composition features-not just connecting of soundbytes)
search option in media center
formfactor
waterproof body(not water resistant-WATERPROOF)
3. STUFF WE THOUGHT UP(please add your brain cells):
motion charged battery
integrated solarcell
integrated wireless charging(connectors to recievers already here)
umd player
(infrared)thermal imaging
2lens camera- for 3d imaging
usb port
ambilight
4.STUFF WE WANT BACK(please add your melancholy):
play/pause button
joystick dust(just kidding)

CCD sensor Camera with a reasonable amount of megapixels no more than 6 cause the whole megapixel thing is just stupid, and all fully adjustable settings, iso, aperature, shutterspeed etc,

Would work great on a clamshell- with the whole flip being one solar cell.
just got inspired from seeing the bond apps for the c902- xray viewer, metal detector
but also thought of one, that might be possible and practical- an integrated laser pointer.

good one- maybe umd micro would be better though
I don't want put everything we think of on the list(like the xray viewer-for example)- just the important stuff- but how do I decide on that??? What do we know, if it won't be possible in,say- the

bond edition phone in 10 years.

An x-ray viewer in a phone is impossible & would cost loads, a umd player is perfectly possible just like the psp has.

You live in England, where are you expecting to get one UV ray from to charge your phone one percent
Well easier for you because you live in Kent and I live NEAR (not in lol) Preston
