So far, the best way I can figure is to add the number as a new contact, go to the newly added contact and copy the contact. Open a jotter file and paste the contact, delete any extra info (if there is any), select all, copy, then add to an existing contact.
whew... You guys get that...
Did I miss something? Any better way would be greatly appreciated.

Another way, a bit easier is to go into the calls log page. U click on the number you want. Edit/copy the number. Then edit the existing contact and paste. That's all

P800 users, please tell me if this works for you:
1. highlight the number in your call list
2. Press the Option button
There should be an option to "add contact" then maybe to "add to existing"
at least, that's how it is on a T68i
