Hi All,

I keep getting Emails in my Spam folder addressed from myself from my Email account and it's starting to make me wonder if someones hacked into my account and using it,

has someone done this and if so what should I do any ideas?

Are they emails you have sent to other people. If so ur email client may be set up to copy ur sent items in2 inbox

It's unlikely anyone has hacked your account.

Websites or mass mailing programs can automatically send emails with the "From:" part of the email header set to whatever the spammer wishes. In this case, they've set it to from the recipient's email address!

Sending spam with the recipient's name as the sender used to be a way to get round spam filters, but the internet security companies cottoned on to that trick years ago.

This guy needs to go to spam school!

Phew so this guy hasn't got my password im glad cos it's tuff trying to re-change it on Yahoo

is there anyway of stopping these at all?

would yahoo do something if I emailed them about it?


the titles are pervy and on occasions there asking for my details

hehe because of spam I now have 2 email accounts, one (hotmail) to sign up to websites (1897 new emails, all spam), and I have a Gmail for real people (no automated mail (although I do get the playstation letters, but they dont annoy me))
