Hello All,
Not new to the forum, just not been here for a long time and I guess the username dropped off and I had to re register. Anyway, its good to be back and apologies if this had been covered in that massive c905 thread (I couldn't find it!)
My problem is this.
I am lucky enough to now have a SE C905 in black on the UK O2 network. Every thing is fine apart from the WF GPS programme. Every time I start it up whether the GPS status is good or not, I get to the front menu only for it to freeze every time, resulting in me having to remove the battery to fix it.
The GPS positioning works fine, I've updated the version, tried it with maps loaded/unloaded but to no avail. I get about 5 seconds on the Icons before it locks once again.
Anyone know of perhaps a patch/fix at all? Or Alternatively, is there a better programme around? Something Tom-Tom esque would be nice! I alreay have Google maps, but that does not take advantage of the GPS sensor as you all know.
My internet is working fine as is a wi-fi connection so this is the only niggle which is stumping me at this time.
Any help appreciated.

Trekbuddy's main advantage: you can use preloaded/offline maps so you don't need a working data connection, just the phone's internal GPS unit.

Yes but first you need to upload more detailed layers for the atlas (into your phone). My atlas for example uses 3 layers (L0, L1 and L2).
Tested it today inside a "bunker" building where my network signal usually sucks, but Trekbuddy managed to get a satellite lock in less than 5 secs.

It is VERY confusing at first.
But I have a complete tutorial on how to config and use the app. Unfortunately it's not in English, if it was I'll put it here. Credits go to esato member jigonx.
