> Ok to flash w960i?

I've recently purchased the W960i phone from ebay for a very good deal ($142), but the caveat is growing to be more troublesome than ever...
Anyways, I tried updating the phone using SEUS, and it says that I have the newest firmware is already installed: Indonesia Bay Trading. However, the firmware is the original firmware that was released with the phone.
So my question is that is it possible to download the latest US firmware and flash the phone using something such as X++ (I think that's what it's called). Is this something safe that someone like me can do, or should i refer to a specialist? If possible, could someone list the necessary steps to successfully flash the phone.

Btw, $142 is pretty darn good for a phone that costs over $400 when new. Was it broken or defective when you bought it?

No, not at all. The seller placed a NR on it, and I guess no one wanted to buy it at the moment. When I took it out of the box, it still had the plastic cover on the camera and the phone. Very, very lightly used. The problem is that it's from Asia; so SEUS keeps on telling me that I have the newest when I don't.

I also noticed another problem. In contacts for my old phone (w810i), I had the option to store multiple numbers (work, cell, home) for each person. Now for the w960, I can't do that anymore. I only have the work or the mobile option. Man...........sighs.

While adding a new contact, click more -> add field. There are a zillion different options in there.
Don't worry about changing the CDA man.. just do it!
