Yesteday I downloaded this motion tracker java app but when I use one of the modes the viewfinder just remains black and it doesn't detect any movement.

What is wrong with it?

Sorry for waiting so long, I'm a very busy photographer!!! No I'm using a W800i (HAHA yeah I know it's old, but I'm saving up for a X1 or a C905) so I don't think it's compatibillity problems.

you are confusing motion sensor and accelerometer. A motion sensor can be software that uses the camera to detect external motion.

An accelerometer detects movement of the handset itself, not an external source.
