Help! Have just tried to update the software on my W950i, the installation failed and now my laptop can't see the phone nor can the update software. The phone turns on but with no boot sequence or display, anyone got any idea how to fix this apart from with a large hammer?!

Sounds like a messed firmware due to an unsuccessful firmware flash.
But even if your phone is unable to boot, you shouldn't have any problem with putting it into flash mode.
In order to make sure that SEUS and your device can reestablish a 'healthy' connection, restart your PC and while your PC boots, remove and reinsert the battery of your phone, then start over with the flashing process and all should be fine.

Thanks, I have tried that and the PC now recognises the phone as a device but the update software cannot identify it and fails every time, any ideas?

Have had to give up on this as nothing seemed to work, thankfully phone is still under warranty so should get a fix/replacement. Thanks for the advice.
