C905 Pushes Sony Ericsson to Top
New Sony Ericsson C905 sees Sony Ericsson claim UK top spot from Samsung for one week only, with Nokia down in third
Sony Ericsson has topped the weekly sales statistics with a brand share of 28.7 per cent following the launch of its C905.
According to figures published by GfK for week 44 of the year, Samsung hit second with Nokia third.
Sony Ericsson’s share has grown three per cent since the C905’s launch; it is now the second best selling contract phone.
“This is a really good result,” said Sony Ericsson UK and Ireland marketing manager Dave Hilton.

Great news, especially when it was 'doomed to fail' by some reviewers.
It seems to be in a good spot for Christmas and the W595 is also getting good reviews.
It seems the battle for UK Market share is fiercer than ever, with no manufacturer having a runaway win.

just a theory:
could it be becouse of the price?
1 - C905i - 449 euro
2 - i8510 INNOV8 8GB - 584 euro
3 - N96 - 656 euro
what do you think?

I don't think so as the original article is about contract phones not sim-free. I doubt the majority will have been purchased without a contract - not at those prices.

'tis great news indeed! It'd be interesting to see if the C905 can hold on to that coveted spot until Christmas.
