> c902 memory card failure
Bookmark topic
Hi everyone, I hope this is the right place where I might get an answer!
I just got a sony ericsson c902 today, having had a w580i previously i knew the basics. i put my old mem. card into the slot and locked it.
after it very briefly working, having all my files there etc, it fails to recognise there's anything on it, even if a photo was just taken, it won't be there.
turning the phone off and on again makes it, again, work briefly before failing.
i tried inserting it different ways, obviously with no luck! reinserting, making sure it's locked in properly, and i am at a loss.
i would love to have my music on there as well as a large memory for the pictures, being a cybershot phone and all!
will i have to buy a new one? i had no problems with the card in my old phone, and it is only a couple of months old.
thanks for reading

I think 4n is supposed to be short for phone. copy all your files from the memory card to your PC, then format the memory card using the phone. Copy the files back onto the card.

(thanks for clearing that up!)
It says formatting failed, I had to restart the phone to even get to that because it instantly says "NO FILES" when i go to file manager > memory card, and there are no options except "ok" which takes you back to file manager screen.
i could format through my pc i suppose, is that recommended?
should i call my provider? i don't really want to waste money on getting a new card if it is fine..
