My friend is purchasing me a 8GB Apple iPod Touch for Xmas (First Edition as there £129.99 from Argos atm) ok sooo.. if I want it thing is ive heard rumours that you have to pay to use the iTunes whats the point of that because iPods only function with there own software right???
I cannot drag and drop a MP3 of my Desktop or can I?
having one is it really all the hassle or should I find something else?

The person who told u that hasnt got a clue. Of course u can add your songs, videos and etc from your HD to your ipod touch. Just add those files to your itunes library then sync (or transfer the files manually inside itunes, aka drag and drop).

You don't have to pay to used itunes in transferring songs from your computer. It's free and you only have to sync it with your ipod..

Your friend was probably talking about QT Pro or purchasing songs from the iTunes library. iTunes as a program has always been freeware.

I overheard some random rubbish on the news about iTunes charging and customers ot being happy about it, it applied to connecting the iPod to use it or sumat :?
it was ages ago anyway.
I ordered a 2nd Gen Touch anyway £147.60 I got 15% off
first Gen is outta stock and the guy seemed to be telling me it wasn't good at the Apple shop lol
