Hi peeps.. pls forgive me if this is the wrong place to post.. *whispers: I'm quite new*

Currently I'm on

150 anytime cross min
250 sms
12mths contract and
K850i for free mid Nov 07
NO itemised bill
for £17 + VAT per month

(to get this I needed to threaten to leave, including asking for the code to port my number, and it was the third call from Voda, apparently a manager, that then sealed me this deal!)

Since my past bills have been always around £30 (I text a lot, never use my 75 minutes in a months to the full and used the odd mobile browing, but not enough for the monthly tariff extra) I am looking at reducing monthly costs!!!!!

Just rang Voda (whom I've ben with for about 5-6 years now). I am interested in the SE C905 phone, but since it's a new top of the range handset I would have to go up in my tarrif to get it free so I also asked what if I stayed with my current SE K850i

This is what I have been given as suggestions (please note I'm not the best haggler in the world, I'm far too nice BIG SIGH).

First suggestion:
600 anytime cross min
unlimited sms
unlimited www and email
free SE C905
18(!) months contract
itemised bill
£34.99 (incl VAT)


Second suggestion
200 anytime cross min
1000 sms
unlimited www and email
free SE C905
18! months contract
itemised bill
£29.99 (incl. VAT)


Now two suggestions without a new handset...

First suggestion no new handset
200 anytime cross min
1000 sms
unlimited www and email
12 months contract
(presumably itemised bill)
£17.50 (presumably incl VAT)

Second suggestion no new handset
150 anytime cross min
500 sms
unlimited www and internet
12 months contract
itemised bill
£14.99 (incl VAT)


I like the second (no new handset suggestion) since I am looking at a way to reduce my bills, and since it's got VAT in, more (presumably enough) sms and more minutes (which are unimportant to me), as well as unlimited www and email (now that is nice!!), and it's 12 months contract (yes yes yes, flexibility is what I kinda want).

I am wondering .. could I squeeze a little more out of Voda? I know there was a chap on here who managed to get 1000 texts, 125mins and unlimited internet for £15 per month on new 12month contract, but since he hasn't responded to my PM to find out how he manged to get this, I'm asking for your help
Of course I'm still interested in the SE 905 (since it has Wifi and a fab cam...besides I'm a loyal SE fan despite the bad OS on it!) but I guess I'm just not making Voda enough money to make it cost no more than £50 with an attractive (i.e. attractive for my needs) price plan for 12! months.

Any suggestions or approvals or encouragements very welcome

I think they could do better than that as your last deal isnt much better than Vodas £10 sim-only deal with internet added - and thats a 30 day contract.
