i bought w910i off ebay uk.
when i put orange sim in , it says inactive sim, or works as i received friends texts , and calls , and i can call out. if i run basic setup wiaard at start its ok but sometimes if reboot it shows inactive sim if i do not run basic setup wizard on start up and let it find its own network
if i put t mobile or virgin sim in it , it got full recpetion as normal but cannot call out at all , just get 3 dead tones . i have alternating between 3g and gsm or gsm only but no help
if i put 3 sim in , it works perfect.

i noticed that many peiople report inactive sim due to bad software and noticed it was on vers 29 , cam vers 1.6 so now ive flashed it , and now its reporting ver 35 , cam vers 1.7 so its up to date but its still the same problems.
have i been ripeed off or is phone just locked to three ?

if it was locked you've got to get a message at startup, something like "insert correct sim".
The problems as described above seem software/hardware related. Try to SW update the phone with SEUS. If the problems remain, bring it back to a SE Service point if the phone still is in warranty.

its not wararnyt as from ebay#

If it is from ebay and if you are getting the message inactive sim, you can be rest assured that you have been conned.
The phone has been reported lost/stolen and hence the IMEI has been blacklisted.
Nothing can be done, talk to ebay or paypal to sort out the issue.

was the phone reported as stolen maybe?
when the phone's blocked(not locked) you are not able to use it with any operator.
