Hey guyz i wanna purchase a k850i but i've been inactive on this forum for lets say 1-2 months so i dunno much about that BROD thing spoiling the k850i fun. So i wanna ask if i bought the k850i and get BROD, can i get still get it fixed for free by a third party program, like davinci, kk or seus?? All answers are welcome. Are there any other bugs, are there any firmware released that fixed BROD??

Tnx

The latest f/w (R1FA035) is far less susceptible to BROD than previous versions, although it does/can still happen. It can be fixed with SEUS for free as far as I know.

I wouldn't be put off buying one, since my BROD and subsequent re-flash and f/w upgrade I've had no problems at all.

I would recommend de-branding the phone, this will probably cost a few credits with something like Davinci, but money well spent IMHO.

Ever since debranding and updating my K850 its been great, very reliable, only had 2 reboots in the last month, both whilest heavily multitasking. Battery life has been excellent, it can do a full day of heavy use, and with StrongV1.0 Camera driver it takes beautiful pics, overall im very happy with it. K850 always had great hardware, it just needed stable software, and now that it does its definetly worth getting. My only complaints are that the Media Player still is a bit laggy especialy when multitasking, but that can be solved by getting KD Player. Other complaint is the Text Field you get when using Opera Mini or any other Java apps, its not as large as the Text Field you get when writing an SMS, maybe some modder can fix this. Im assuming that C902, C702 etc. . .also have the same prob.
Otherwise its a great phone.

k800's already 2 years old but i just bought a brand new one a few weeks ago. it's not always about the latest model that's available. sometimes it's also about user's preference and needs.

The K850 has triband HSDPA, plus support for both M2 and MicroSD, does the C902 have that? Id rather have a Modded K850 than a C902, K850 maybe "old" but its not far behind either.

Actually I would say the K850 is the same at least.

All the same things, only the K850 has better flash (and pics with edited drivers, imho)
