I'm Stuck.
I am tempted by the Viewty for it's great camera and large touchscreen.
I am tempted by the W595 because of the great SE UI (media center the most) and very good sound quality. Also, the W595 will be very moddable soon.
Which would you go for?
Also, a couple of questions:
1)I know about the sharejack, but how good are the headphones that come with the W595
2)How moddable is the Viewty? In what ways?

go for the viewty. it has the advantage that it isn't a sony ericsson, so you have less to worry about dodgy build and glitchy software
also, technically, the viewty is light years ahead of the SE.
the camera on the viewty isn't that good. don't be tempted into the erronous thinking that 5MP is more than 3.2MP, and hence the quality is better. if you're going from say a k800 or a u600, you may be slightly disappointed in the quality for most of the time. i say "most of the time" because the viewty really is capable of producing some great quality shots, but you have to know the camera's personality and the settings well before you can get the most out of it. it's not a point and click type camera.
the video record is excellent!
the viewty is VERY moddable.

Thanks for your opinion. In what ways is the viewty moddable?

Though i love SE i would go for the Viewty. The reasons are what Brightspark said but also its been out a while too which will make it more stable now. The W595 is nothing new and not that amazing. If it was between the Viewty or the C905 then i would not choose the Viewty. Lol.

just have a look at how much modding there is. there is a whole forum devoted to it:
http://www.mygreatphone.com/forum/lg-ku990/
i've made quite a few mods including, but not limited to:
-making it much louder through the speaker and the headphones
-changed the shortcuts to my own custom ones
-changed the Orange theme
-added theme manager (but since got rid of it)
-modified the java permissions
-changed the Orange branded imposed limit of 4 joined together texts
-debranded it
-added the google menus (Orange took them off)
-got rid of lots of silly Orange imposed restrictions

I was leaning very much towards the Viewty anyway, and even more now I know it is moddable.
My only concerns are
-Music-
How good is the sound quality?
Everywhere seems to contradict each other - Does it play WMA?
Does it show albumart, or is that just a permanent image?
Java
How fast is java?
What are the touchscreen controls likein a java application?
Is it true an application cannot be over 1mb?

Don't buy viewty, it sucks. Music quality is worse than W595, camera isn't that great too. The touchscreen is bad and the interface is much worse than W595.
I've Viewty and recently bought K660i, but I ended up using only K660, just because it's much nicer in everyday use. The only things I miss are a capable camera and the document reader and superb video functions.

music isn't that good.
i don't know if it plays wma because i've never tried.
don't know about album art.
java is quite fast.
touchscreen control are not that good in java. you probably won't like them.
i have heard that it has a 1MB limit, but i have several apps/games that are over 1MB (eg 1335kb) and they work fine.

it doesn't suck. camera needs a lot of getting used to, but it is capable of very high quality shots when you know how to use it.
good luck with the crappy low-spec k660. has it started rebooting/freezing yet?

It does, and I mean mostly the interface and the quality of the touchscreen. The camera is indeed capable of some really nice shots, but most people won't be able to make them. If you use auto settings, they are mostly not really good.

I'm verry happy with it, for the times I don't use a review phone. The SQ is great, IMO, the cam sucks, but I don't care, the design is gorgeous, just like the interface. The only thing i really hate about it is the crappy fastport.
It didn't freeze or reboot yet
