Is there any means to switch between applications on the 760a. I am particularly interested in how one switches between writing a text/MMS, accessing the internet (or GMAIL) and receiving a phone call. It seems to me this is not unreasonable. The phone certainly handles a phone call or text/MMS receipt interrupting your composition of a text/MMS or the internet access and returns you to where you left off. In addition it seems you can also have a GPS and multiple JAVA applications running. It sees weird to not be able to see them and manage them.

The 760i documentation says there is an activity menu that allows one to toggle between applications and/or examine what is running. the 760a (AT&T) has replaced this key with their Medianet function that has no such features.

Any way to get them?

You should debrand your phone. Just search around the forum on how to do that.

I've been hearing the word debranding and i only have a little idea about that. Can you explain it further? Thanks.

Would debranding also remove the AT&T functions? I like many of these features. Also, is there any way to control the running applications without debranding?

well that's why branding sucks so bad. They take an extremely useful function such as multi-tasking and replace it with a trivial operator button that makes it easier for you to buy operator content. great trade off.

They actually remove some of the stock features of the phone. If SE had any sense they would not allow operators to impoair a phone's given specifications with branding.

It's unlikley you can get the activity menu back without debranding
