There is a GPS and a camera in the phone but they seem to be disassociated from each other. There are SE approved applications on their site POSITME, TRACER and WAYFINDER that use the GPS but SE support says that the GPS information is not available.
I have found an application called GPSed (http://gpsed.com/) that seems to capture a log of GPS activity and there is other software that will merge this with photos for geotagging.
Anyone have some better thoughts? Is there any risk in me using this JAVA application?
