Hi every one!
I have P990i and i want to update its software. when i run the update service and follow the instructions there IT says that turn off your phone remove the battery and then reinsert the battery and then start the phone while PRESSING the "C" button.
Now the issue is I don't have my external keypad attached with it what button should I press instead of "C" so it can start updating my phone!
Please do some help people ! and I can't get my keypad I lost it

Install the P990 signed drivers.
Phone turned off , battery out battery in.
Hold the C button on the keypad, holding the c button connect the cable to the phone.

Or you can use the @ button on the side of your phone.

problem isn't solved yet when I press the "@" button and then insert the data cable into phone a pop up appears saying FOUND NEW HARDWARE!
CDC Comms Interface ... and then it start searching for the software

seems you need to install the driver. get it from here: http://ma3.extranet.sonyericsson.com/drivers/open.html
