Hi,

I have a question - is it possible to show NetFront browser in running apps and make it multitaskable? It is somehow possible now but you need to remember not to use main menu or standby shortcut but only close the app which is running 'over' the browser or the netfront will close.

I found on SE-NSE that it is possible to get standby and main menu visible in running apps via customize_upgrade (because the phone actually treats them as apps) and use them as shortcuts which is very useful:) I installed it on my phone and it makes multitasking even faster:)

Se maybe it is possible to show netfront session visible as well using the same technique?

Or maybe anyone knows some other way or is it simply impossible?

I'm using K850 but I had K800 and NetFront wasn't visible either. How does it work on more recent phones like C902 or C905 (which is actually on another platform:) )?

I do but sometimes I want to use NetFront - it handles pages better in some cases and it also has a support for Flash;)

FINALY someone asks this, i hope it is possible, i was starting to think that i was the only person wondering about this ever since i had my W900 The Netfront browser is a great browser, i prefer it over Opera Mini but im forced to use Opera Mini if i wana multitask without always having to drop apps that are running on top Netfront.

The netfront browser keeps running without minimizing. You can just minimize the app you're running and you'll have your netfront browser again. I have had opera mini and the netfront browser at the same time.

Yeah, I just wrote that in my first post but this is a very irritating solution. You can minimize every java app but not every phone feature - you can't for example write an sms using text from a webpage (no copy&paste in the browser is another case:/). When you press activity menu button while writing sms there's no browser in it! You have to close&save the sms editor every time you want to see the browser and then run it again using a shortcut only (because you can't go to menu without losing your browser:/)

To activate standby session you have to write something like show_standby_session and set it to true in customize_upgrade.xml... maybe someone can try this with show_browser_session or netfront_session?
