Hi,

I just bought myself a Sony Ericsson W595 on orange, i can change the theme of my fone but no matter what theme i choose i'm stuck with the Orange branded menu icons. i want to be able to use all the awsome sony ericson ones that i've seen on the net and no matter what i try they will not change.

Do i need to get the origonal Sony Ericsson firm ware and not the orange version? the firmware that is on it now is:

1206-7096 R3D029 080913

Can someone tell me step by step how to change to the origonal sony ericsson firmware, everytime i try it reinstalls the orange version.

You'll probably have to get the phone debranded or flashed.

Iv just bought the same phone SIM free and unlocked from Play.com and having problems with software bugs.

Bugs:

Walkman Player volume randomly goes silent even when it's on half or full then it freezes
Editing/saving pictures using Photo DJ the phone automatically turns off and restarts
Keypad lights randomly fail to turn on when the phone is powered on
Camera>Settings>Reset Counter doesn't work
Contacts>Options> Delete Contact appears twice

Anybody know if/when the next Software Update is due out ???

just use a2uploader to upload a new flash desktop to the phone and the theme then no more icons

its quite safe iv done it with my w595 now have new font new flash themes new media layout and new left/middle/right softkeys
